Still — Privacy
Last updated 29 October 2026
Still is a Safari extension that stops videos and audio that websites start playing on their own. It does not collect, transmit or sell any personal data. It has no servers, no accounts, no analytics and no tracking.
1. Data we collect
None. Still keeps no record of the sites you visit or the videos on them, and sends nothing to us or to anyone else.
The App Store privacy card for this app is declared as “Data Not Collected”.
2. Why the extension asks for website access
To stop autoplay, Still has to see when a page tries to start a video or a sound, and it cannot know in advance which site will do that.
All of it happens on your device, while the page is open. Still never looks at what a video is, only that it tried to start.
3. The stopped-video count
The app and the popup show how many videos Still has stopped. That is a single number and a start date, kept on the device. It contains no site names and no history.
4. Settings
Your preferences are stored on the device only, in the extension’s local storage and an App Group shared with the app. Deleting the app deletes them with it.
5. Children
Still is not directed at children under 13 and, collecting no data, processes no information about them.
6. Changes and contact
Any update to this policy will be published on this page with a new date.
