Terms of service

Draft — last updated 29 June 2026 · pending legal review

These Terms govern your use of the website hartwellbridge.com (the “Site”). By using the Site you accept these Terms. Individual projects — such as TempusLex, Clean My Shit and Whispy — are governed by their own terms, available on their respective pages or subdomains.

1. Who we are

HartwellBridge is an independent group based in Bologna, Italy, that designs, builds and maintains open projects. The Site is an informational showcase of that work. Contact: [email protected].

2. Use of the Site

You may browse and share the Site for lawful purposes. You agree not to misuse it, disrupt its operation, access it by automated means that burden our infrastructure, or use it in breach of applicable law.

3. Intellectual property

The HartwellBridge name and logo and the content of this Site are protected. Project code released as open source is licensed under the terms stated in its repository, which prevail for that code. Nothing on this page grants you rights to our trademarks.

4. Projects and downloads

Software offered through the Site (for example Clean My Shit) and services (for example Whispy) are provided under their own licenses and terms. Read those before use.

5. Third-party links and services

The Site links to third-party services (GitHub, WhatsApp, Stripe, project subdomains). We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or availability.

6. Donations

Donations are voluntary, non-refundable and processed by Stripe. They grant no product, service or warranty in return.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site and any free tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HartwellBridge is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Site. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law (for example towards consumers).

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. The version published on this page applies. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Italian law. The courts of Bologna have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections.
